www.Hampi.in is packed with a number of tourists maps on Hampi. The ruins site is spread over a very large area with literally hundreds of monuments scattered at random. A handy map can make you better prepared to tour Hampi . I’ve created various types of maps to suit your needs.
If you are new to this region (India / Karnataka), you may first refer to the access map. Locate Hampi and position Hampi on your itinerary suitably. You may also refer the Rail Map & Airports map for additional help.
Hampi ruin is spread over a large area. That is more than 25 sq.km or 10 sq.miles. Archeologists for the sake of explanation identify different areas within the ruin site as Sacred Center, Royal Center, Islamic Quarter etc. The Hampi Map shown here gives you an overall view of the ruin site. For more specific and detailed maps select the right map from the menu list or click on the small maps provided at the bottom. I would suggest you to keep a Hampi Map when you finally arrive at Hampi. The navigation would be much easier and you can use this as a checklist during your Hampi trip.

When you actually visit Hampi, you may bring a printout of the Hampi ruins map. Because of the size of the ruins and the details require, I’ve split the map into 9 sections (Nine A4 size pages in .pdf format). Most of the guidebooks on Hampi provide some sorts of the maps of the ruins as an essential item. You may carry one of them. If you are too lazy for either you can look for the Archeological department’s huge maps installed at various locations in Hampi. But then they don’t popup when you badly in need to refer!
Additionally you may carry the Royal Center & Sacred Center maps, as they are more detailed about these specific areas within the ruins.
A general map is added to point the areas where the tourist accommodations are located.
All the ruins maps are drawn to an approximate scale. In any case you can estimate the distances in miles or kilometers using the scale and grid provided on the maps.
