Aurangabad literally means "Built by the Throne" is named after the named after Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb

Aurangabad is an important industrial and tourist center in Maharastra. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Ajanta and Ellora are located near Aurangabad. So are many other imposing monuments like Bibi Ka Maqbara, Daulatabad fort, Pitalkhora Caves, Aurangabad Ruins, Kali Masjid , Demri Mahal and many more.

Ajanta Route Map : From Jalgaon to Ajanta the distance is about 55 km ( 34 miles). From Aurangabad to Ajanta caves the distance is about 101 km (63 miles). Fardapur is another village near Ajanta with MDTC resort.

Panchakki: This 17th century watermill and fountains is marvel of the engineering. Water to the mill is sourced from the high mountains some 8 kilometers away, and transverses through an underground piping system. A beautiful garden and a small mosque add to the charm of Panchakki
