Kutta is a small border town in the Kodagu (Coorg) district of Karnataka. As such Kutta does not have any great tourist attractions. But it sits right at the center of a few popular tourist attractions in the region.

Kutta is the entry point to the Nagarhole National Park, especially for those coming from Kerala side. Location wise Kutta is a few kilometers from the Kerala-Karnataka border and the road that connects Kerala and Karnakaka pass via Kutta. This road also pass through another wildlife sanctuary - Tholpetty - shortly after crossing into in to Kerala.

Kodagu region is popular for its sprawling coffee plantations and its "Home stay" tourism. Kutta is as south as one can get in Kodagu. While Kutta itself has some home stay options, other popular points like Gonikoppal and Virajpet are connected by road from Kutta.

In some way Kutta is a gateway from Karnataka to the Wayanad district of Kerala.

Iruppu falls in the jungles is a short drive from Kutta. Also the road from Kutta winds its way to Kabini backwaters and HD Kote.

Kutta has a small bus station with frequent bus services to the neighboring towns, especially the interstate local services between Kerala and Karnataka. Thanks to the hilly nature of the terrain , jeeps seems to be a favorite options than auto rickshaws and taxi cars. There is a jeep stand at the end of the town.

Sure there are a few restaurants - small and medium sized - and a fuel station in Kutta. Now that completes the profile of Kutta from a traveler's perspective.
