. There is only one direct train from Mumbai to Hospet (the railway station for Hampi). The weekly Ajmer-Yesvantpur Garib Nawaz Express connects western India with Hampi.

The train is named after the Islamic scholar and saint Khwaja Gharib Nawaz whose darga ( shrine) is located in Ajmer.
.

The No 6531 Garib Nawaz Express arrives at Kalyan Jn by 1.05 AM departs by 1.10 AM on Tuesdays.

In the return direction No 6531 Garib Nawaz Express coming from Bangalore (Yesvantpur ) leaves from Hospet junction by 2.30 AM on Saturdays and reach Kalyan by 21.40 PM the same day.
.

Another option is to get to Hubli ( UBL) from Mumbai. There are a few southbound trains from Mumbai that pass via Hubli. From Hubli to Hospet you can opt for a rail or bus connection. Hubli-Hospet is about 4 hours journey.
