. Most of the Mysore city is on the north,northwest and west of the palace. Chamundi Hills is on southeast of the city (also southeast of the palace). The map also shows the access points (ticket counter) for entering the palace. Note that the ticket counter is located at the southern gate of the palace, though the main gate (the largest gate) is on the eastern side of the palace.
